App Developers Sydney: IoT is the Interaction of things, not the internet and is IoT Smart
We've all heard
IoT or the "Internet of Things" and some think that it's not
impressive at all and they wonder why many App Developers Sydney and around the world are quite in love with it. With so
many new buzzwords, the real meaning of "IoT" got lost when it comes
to translations that it became a different thing altogether.
So what is IoT?
If we take and
literally translate IoT as "Internet of Things", it won't make any
sense for many people. They won't understand how smart it is or how
"things" and "the internet" is related to each other. The
term makes most think of another network of things: all the electrically
powered devices in our offices and homes. Well, it has nothing to do with the
IoT but all its connection is they need the power to function. And of course,
no one would be all that excited to read a blog post about the future of the
ENoT (Electrical Network of Things).
IoT is not as
simple as that. It's enormous and it has very little connection with
"internet" but it is more on the "interaction" of things.
It is the interaction among devices and people.
App Development Sydney notices that many new clients are still
confused because of the "Internet of Things" phrase but if you change
"internet" to "interaction" it makes it easier to
understand. It benefits user’s front and center.
For consumers,
IoT focuses on how it works at home. It's how your devices are connected with
each other through your mobile device. However, the real power of IoT is making
the devices actually interact with each other and actually be smart enough to
work together without missing a task. To make it simpler, it is like your
devices are automatically doing the things you need without actually you doing
anything. The point is, the interaction of these devices and their interaction
with you is what truly could make the IoT smart — not having 15 disparate
connected devices that you can control individually with 15 different apps on
your phone.
The success of
IoT for consumers is determined by how the devices are interfaced with each
other and how it will fit in the daily analog life.
